While trolling outside the town of Waianae on Oahu’s leeward coast, a giant marlin attacked and ate two lures in the QUE-LARGO’s spread. Capt. Gary Largo and his fishing partner Nasario Quemado Jr. battled the fish for three and a half hours before securing it boatside. When the fish was weighed, it bottomed-out the scales and its bill was still on the ground.
